Mortgage Operations Manager

Position Overview:

The Branch Operations Manager is responsible for leading the processing,? activities for the Branch to ensure the efficient workflow of the branch pipeline loan files.


  • Recruit, interview and hire staff processors.
  • Manage, monitor and follow up with each processing employee to maintain the proper workflow
  • Ensure each file complies with all corporate and regulatory policies and procedures
  • Develop, review and recommend overall operational systems and procedures for the mortgage lending function
  • Develop new methods and procedures to increase daily operations efficiency
  • Manage projects for deployment of new systems and procedures
  • Maintain broad knowledge and thorough understanding of applicable federal, state and agency regulations and guidelines
  • Develop and maintain an effective organization through the selection, training, compensation, motivation and review of assigned employees
  • Guide and direct employees to assist their professional development
  • Monitor daily, weekly and monthly production reports related to Fair Lending Act and other federal requirements


  • A minimum of 7 years of recent mortgage processing experience.?
  • A Minimum of 3 years of recent management experience.?
  • Strategic understanding of the mortgage lending function
  • Experience with Encompass LOS system.?
  • Strong analytical, judgment and managerial skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, and customer service skills
  • Strong knowledge of processing, closing and funding loans in accordance to Investors and Agency guidelines including federal and State required practices
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to a rapidly changing federal and state regulatory environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong knowledge of FNMA, FHA, GNMA and VA housing loans

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
